Halesworth Volunteer Centre - Registered Charity No. 1001776

The centre currently provides the following services with the help of volunteers:

We also provide a brokerage service for other local community groups and projects, helping them to recruit volunteers by advertising opportunities through our quarterly newsletter, website and  Resource Centre.

Services We Offer

The Centre is located in the Town Council office building in London Road (just near to the Co-Op Rainbow supermarket roundabout). The Centre is open five days a week and employs a small team of staff to run the office and co-ordinate our services.

We operate as a charity, with a board of elected trustees who are responsible for the overall accountability and direction of the centre. The current chair of the trustees is Karen Austin.

You are welcome to contact any of our staff or trustees - please find our details on the “Contact Us” tab.

How we Operate

This year we have been supported in our work by Suffolk County Council, Waveney District Council and Halesworth Town Council. We have received additional financial support from local parish councils and members of the public.

The administration of the Community Car Service is funded by Suffolk County Council Environment and Transport, with a charge to the passenger to cover the mileage costs to the driver. No charges are made for the non- driving services that we undertake.

Donations to the centre are always very welcome.  An annual donation to the centre can be made through the Friends of Halesworth Volunteer Centre - this small fund provides valuable support to the Centre.  If you would like to become a friend of Halesworth Volunteer Centre, please contact the centre.
